Job summary

Southern New Hampshire Health is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) on-call for Sun–Thu overnights (7p–7a) with guaranteed pay for 40 hours. The role supports the Surgical Services team at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center in Nashua, focusing on sterile instrument preparation and intra-operative assistance.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited Surgical Technologist program, CST or TS-C certification, current BLS, NH registration unless licensed, and a minimum of

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
• Certification as CST or TS-C is required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• New Hampshire Medical Technologist registration is required unless you hold an NH state license.

Responsibilities

• Work on-site.
• Respond to surgical emergencies outside normal hours.
• Identify and prepare sterile instrumentation and equipment for procedures.
• Assist surgical team with verification process.
• Assist with intra-operative procedures and closure procedures.
• Review surgical bookings and match procedures to preference cards.
• Use preference cards to select instrumentation.
• Inspect instruments for sterility, safety, and function.
