Job summary

Stellar Senior Living in Sun City, AZ is seeking a dependable Cook for a large senior living community. This full-time, overnight role runs Tuesday–Saturday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM, contributing to high-quality, nutritious meals for residents.

You will follow established recipes, dietary guidelines, and food safety standards while collaborating with a caring culinary team. Prior experience with large groups and a passion for cooking are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four (4) years of experience in a similar cooking or food service position.
• Experience preparing meals for large groups preferred.
• Knowledge of special diets and modified meal preparation preferred.
• Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices required.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow recipes.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work the scheduled overnight shift.
• Must successfully pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient food service department.
• Prepare and serve attractive, nutritious, and high-quality meals in a timely and organized manner.
• Demonstrate proficiency in basic food production skills while consistently meeting company quality standards.
• Follow recipes, portion guidelines, and established preparation procedures.
• Maintain proper food handling, sanitation, and safety practices.
• Follow special dietary requirements and meal preparation guidelines as directed.
• Work collaboratively with the culinary and community teams to ensure residents receive excellent dining service.
• Manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
