Job summary

Athena Care at Home is seeking an overnight Companion II in Stafford Springs to supervise safety and assist clients with daily living in their homes. The role requires a valid driver''s license, insured vehicle, and a willingness to drive clients to activities and appointments.

The position involves nonmedical personal care, emotional support, and light housekeeping, with weekly pay and mileage reimbursement. Evening/night shifts and on-the-road duties are a key part of this role.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Athena Care at Home is hiring overnight Companion IIs in Stafford Springs!

Weekly pay at $17 an hour.This on-the-road position requires the candidate to have an active driver's license and an insured vehicle. Mileage is reimbursed.

This position provides supervision of safety and assistance with activities of daily living to clients in their home. You provide nonmedical personalcare to support clients.

Education:

• Must have a high school diploma or its equivalent.

Duties:

• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring, and eating/feeding.
• Medication reminders.
• Housekeeping including vacuuming, dusting, washing dishes, trash removal, laundry, changing bed sheets, etc.
• Drive clients to and from planned outings, events, or appointments, as needed.
• Provide emotional and social support to clients.
• Assist with grocery shopping and meal preparation.
• Monitor the skin health of the client.
• Application and maintenance of prosthetics and orthotics.
• Report any changes in the client's status to appropriate team members.

Requirements:

• Excellent customer service and listening skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have an active driver's license and an insured vehicle.
• Access to a working telephone for communication with the client, family, and the team.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with the client, family, and office staff.
