Job summary

PureStar in Denver, CO is seeking reliable Team Members to join our Five Star Laundry delivery team. You will drive to designated locations, transport soiled linen and deliver clean linen products to hotel customers while verifying loads and adhering to regulations.

Key duties include operating delivery trucks, loading carts, unloading at properties, and maintaining vehicle safety and cleanliness. A valid driver’s license, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to pass orientation

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid driver’s license and high school diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrates ability to work independently and follow instructions.
• Completes Safe Driver orientation prior to employment.
• Able to perform basic math functions and read maps for routing.

Responsibilities

• Operates delivery trucks of various models and weights.
• Loads and unloads linen carts, verifies loads against delivery tickets.
• Delivers to hotel and hospital properties and assists with in-building delivery.
• Maintains vehicle cleanliness and performs safety inspections.
• Completes trip sheets with stops, carts delivered/collected, and breaks.
• Complies with all safety rules and federal/state regulations for commercial driving.

Position Summary

Responsible for driving to and from designated locations, transporting soiled linen and delivering clean linen products to hotel customers, while verifying loads and adhering to state and Federal Regulations.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Operates delivery trucks of various models and gross vehicle weights
• Loads clean linen carts into trucks, checking to insure accuracy of load against the delivery ticket
• Drives trucks to specified hotel and/or hospital properties and unloads clean linen carts as well as assists hotel or hospital personnel in delivery to designated areas
• Tags and identifies soiled linen carts using proper techniques to ensure that no cross contamination occurs; loads truck and returns items to laundry and unloads into designated areas as specified by Production Manager
• Completes safety inspection of truck prior to every delivery
• Maintains appearance of the truck by not eating, smoking or littering when inside the vehicle at any time; also responsible for ensuring that truck has a full gas tank
• Completes trip sheets accurately to reflect all stops, number of carts delivered, number of carts retrieved and breaks
• Assists scalers and linen distribution by positioning carts in appropriate area and placing plastic liners over carts as required.
• Communicates customer concerns or complaints promptly to Production Manager on duty or to Transportation Manager
• Maintains truck by regularly cleaning cab area, exterior and sanitizing interior of truck after returning soiled laundry carts to ULS
• Able to push/pull carts loaded with linen weighing approximately 550 pounds
• Able to correctly and safely operate truck lift gate and back up trucks into tight places
• Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures, and comply with all federal, state and local regulations for the safe operations of a commercial motor vehicle.
• Professional representation of the Company and the trucking industry through responsible driving and appearance
• Drivers must comply with all Customers’ safety and delivery requirements
• Ability to pass a drug test

Qualifications And Skills

• Must possess a valid Driver’s License
• Position requires high school diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to work independently and follow instructions
• Must complete Safe Driver orientation
• Able to understand and complete simple math functions
• Must be able to follow maps or directions to meet destination in a safe and efficient manner.
• Able to understand and complete basic math

Work Hours

• Morning or evening shift available
• May include working on the weekends or during Holidays.

Physical / Mental Requirements

• Assigned duties are accomplished primarily driving the truck and an industrial setting.
• Able to correctly and safely operate truck lift gate and back-up trucks into tight places
• Able to push/pull cars loaded with linen weighing approximately up to 550 pounds
• May be at an industrial setting with heat/cold and distracting noise levels
