Job summary

BrightStar Care Plano/North Dallas is seeking a CNA – Overnight PRN to provide one-on-one home care during night hours. You will ensure safety, comfort, and support for clients in their homes while coordinating with the clinical team.

The role emphasizes compassionate, independent caregiving with overnight availability, including weekends and holidays as client needs arise. This position offers part-time PRN hours in a home-care setting.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in Texas.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Reliable transportation and the ability to meet client scheduling needs.
• Previous experience in home care, private duty, assisted living, skilled nursing, or a similar setting preferred.
• Ability to work independently while following a plan of care and communicating with the clinical team.
• Dependable, professional, and compassionate approach to client care.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and other personal care needs.
• Provide companionship, reassurance, and emotional support throughout overnight hours.
• Monitor clients and promptly report changes in condition or concerns to the appropriate nursing staff.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.
• Follow the client’s individualized care plan and all company policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with nursing staff, families, and the care team.
• Respond appropriately to client needs and changes throughout the shift.
• Promote client dignity, independence, safety, and comfort at all times.
