Job summary

BrightStar Care Denton, TX is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse to deliver high quality care and education to patients and families. You will cover 9 am–3 pm shifts with occasional nights, focused on a single client at times, and work under health and safety guidelines.

The role emphasizes compassionate, well-trained nursing, patient well-being, and the ability to work with little supervision in home health or facility settings.

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted RN license in Texas.
• Wound care experience preferred.
• Proficiency in IV skills and Central Line care.
• Certified CPR and negative TB test or chest x-ray.
• Minimum 1 year in home health, primary care clinic or health facility; 3–5 years preferred.
• Licensed driver with valid automobile insurance.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient's condition and assess needs to provide best care.
• Perform routine procedures and document patient charts.
• Adjust and administer medications per physician orders.
• Provide instant medical care in emergencies.
• Counsel client and family through care process; regular updates.
• Foster a supportive, compassionate environment for patients and families.
