Job summary

Labcorp is a global leader in laboratory services, seeking a Technologist to join our team in Dublin, OH. This role offers a $7,500 sign-on bonus for external candidates and a Tuesday–Saturday night shift 10:00 PM–6:30 AM with rotating holidays.

Responsibilities include specimen acceptability, routine and complex testing, instrumentation troubleshooting, reagent evaluation, and timely reporting of results to support quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology
• 1 year or more of clinical laboratory testing experience in Microbiology OR an MLS degree
• ASCP or AMT certification (preferred)
• In lieu of education requirements, non-traditional degrees with applicable science credits may meet CLIA education requirements
• Experience working in a high volume laboratory environment
• Proficient with computers; familiarity with laboratory information systems

Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental SOPs
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality
• Demonstrate ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls
• Report accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care
• Perform and document preventative maintenance and quality control procedures
• Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary
• Assist with processing of specimens when needed
• Maintain a safe work environment and wear PPE
