Job Description

This position is responsible for taking stock from either an L-cart or pallet, and using the correct location codes provided on the box, placing the stock in the correct location on the shelf. The process is repeated until the assigned area is finished.

We are searching for a new member of the Meijer family! As a GM Night Stocking team member, you will stock from either an L-cart or pallet to place the stock in the correct location on the shelf. You will play a vital role in keeping our store running smoothly and having a positive impact on the community we serve. If you’re detail-oriented and organized, come join us!

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves with a variety of products, including food.
• Pull back stock and trash to the back room, ensuring correct areas are stocked in a timely fashion.
• Work with management to ensure correct areas are stocked efficiently.
• Maintain a friendly demeanor with customers.
• Work night shifts.

Skills and Qualifications

• Knowledge of computer systems and comfort using them.
• Process-driven with the ability to follow procedures in an organized and efficient manner.
• Ability to stay calm in a fast-paced environment.
• Desire to work with customers regularly.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Physical ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, and twist while handling products.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Knowledge of operating a forklift and pallet jack is a plus.
