Stars Behavioral Health Group in San Bernardino, CA is seeking a Certified Peer Support Specialist for the overnight shift. The role supports clients with lived experience to engage, advocate, and connect them with recovery services on the Valley CMRT mobile team.

You will provide outreach and direct services, drawing on your personal experience with the mental health or child welfare systems, and work Sundays to Wednesdays from 6:00 PM to 5:00 AM.

Qualifications

• Active California Peer Support Specialist Certification is required.
• Lived experience as a consumer within the child welfare, probation, or mental health systems.
• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED, HiSET, etc.).
• Must be 18 years of age or older and meet driver eligibility criteria.
• 1 year of full-time experience performing non-professional, consumer-directed services.
• Experience in mental health, healthcare, or social services is preferred.
• Valid California Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
• First Aid certification from an approved provider.

Responsibilities

• Provide outreach, engagement, support, advocacy and direct services to program clients.
• Serve as role models, companions, educators and advocates for clients.
• Support clients toward recovery and meaningful roles beyond illness.
• Participate in mobile crisis intervention and rapid mental health assessments.
