Job summary

Dollar General Transportation is seeking a Truck Driver to ensure on-time delivery of freight between distribution centers, stores, and vendors. You will haul and unload multi-stop freight and returns, and operate safely under DG policies and state/federal regulations.

This role requires overnight travel, ability to load/unload heavy rolltainers, and strict adherence to DOT rules. High school diploma and CDL Class A are required; one year of tractor/trailer experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of DOT regulations and FMCSA.
• Ability to meet DOT medical/safety standards.
• Ability to lift and handle freight including rolltainers.

Responsibilities

• Transports store-delivery freight and returns over-the-road in a safe, efficient, and timely manner per DG policies and regulations.
• Unloads and reloads freight and rolltainers at deliveries, including moving toppers and return rolltainers.
• Provides professional customer service to store teams, vendors, and distribution employees.
• Completes required paperwork and maintains records under state and federal laws.
• Ensures vehicle operation complies with state and federal laws and regulations.
