Job summary

REM Community Services, part of the Sevita family, is hiring a caregiver in Mount Orab, OH. You will support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, assist with daily living activities, and help participants participate in community life.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and a willingness to work weekend nights (10p-8a). We offer full benefits for full-time staff, paid time off, a 401(k), and ongoing learning opportunities.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent, proof of education is required.
• Age Requirement: Minimum 18yrs of age.
• Experience: Six months of experience Intellectual disabilities, behavioral health, or mental health preferred.
• Skills: Communication, adaptability, multi-tasking, teamwork, time-management.
• Behaviors: Patient, compassionate, reliable, responsible.
• Vehicle: Valid Driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

• You’ll assist people with their personal hygiene and support individuals who can have behavioral challenges and other complex needs.
• Be part of a team delivering community-based services and helping participants engage in activities they enjoy.
• Support participants with developmental goals like budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.
