Job summary

Sevita is seeking a caregiver in Louisiana to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in daily living and community participation. The role requires compassionate, patient care and the ability to build meaningful relationships with participants.

Dominant responsibilities include personal hygiene support, helping participants with goals in budgeting, exercise, and nutrition, and ensuring participation in favorite activities within the community.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 6 months of patient direct care or care coordination required; group home care preferred.
  • Skills: Communication, adaptability, multi-tasking, teamwork, time-management.

Responsibilities

  • Assist participants with personal hygiene and daily living activities.
  • Support participants with developmental goals (budgeting, exercise, nutrition).
  • Help participants participate in community activities and social events.
  • Provide compassionate, patient care and build meaningful relationships.

Pay : $11.75-12.25

What You’ll Bring To Sevita
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience: 6 months of experience in patient direct care, or care coordination required. Group home care experience preferred
  • Skills: Communication, adaptability, multi-tasking, teamwork, time-management
  • Behaviors: Patient, compassionate, reliable, responsible
  • Vehicle: Valid Driver's license for at least a year and reliable transportation. Must be able to pass state background check, during pre-employment stage.
