Job summary

Sevita, a leading provider of home and community-based health care, is hiring a caregiver in Kenner, Louisiana. The role focuses on supporting individuals with developmental disabilities with daily living activities, personal care, and community participation.

Pay ranges from $11.75 to $12.25 per hour. Scheduling includes Tuesday and Thursday from 3pm to 8pm and Saturday and Sunday from 2pm to 10pm. A compassionate, patient approach is essential to help participants grow and thrive.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 6 months of direct care experience required; group home care experience preferred.
• Strong communication, adaptability, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with personal hygiene and support those with behavioral challenges.
• Help participants achieve developmental goals such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.

What You’ll Bring To Sevita

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience: 6 months of experience in patient direct care, or care coordination required. Group home care experience preferred
• Skills: Communication, adaptability, multi-tasking, teamwork, time-management
• Behaviors: Patient, compassionate, reliable, responsible
• Vehicle: Valid Driver's license for at least a year and reliable transportation. Must be able to pass state background check, during pre-employment stage.
