The Xenia YMCA is seeking an Overnight Building Supervisor to oversee the facility during evening and weekend hours. You will enforce staff procedures, manage emergencies, and assist members with directions and information.

This part-time, non-exempt role requires 21+ years old, a high school diploma or GED, and strong customer service and supervisory skills.light maintenance tasks may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year+ customer service experience; 2+ years supervisory preferred.
• Computer skills with strong interpersonal and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the building during evening and weekend hours.
• Ensure staff follow correct procedures and are in their locations.
• Lead in emergency situations and respond quickly to incidents.
• Provide information to members and guests as needed.
• Notify program staff of issues in their areas.
• Arrange substitutes for unstaffed areas as needed.
• Follow safety guidelines and proactively solve problems.
• Give tours to prospective members and guests.
• Assist new members in finding activities and areas.
• Perform light maintenance tasks when necessary.
• Report concerns to the direct supervisor for follow-up.
• Be familiar with member information and handbook details.

Overnight Building Supervisor

Part-Time/Non-Exempt

$15.50 - $18.60/Hourly

This substitute position offers the potential to become permanent. Candidates must be at least 21 years old and available Monday through Friday for overnight shifts between 8:30 p.m. and 6:30 a.m.

Position Summary:

Responsible for supervising the building during evening and weekend hours, when Program Staff are not available. The Building Supervisor will be proactive in disciplinary measures as needed, act appropriately and quickly should an emergency arise, and solve problems as necessary.

Essential Functions:

• Ensures correct and proper procedures are being followed by all staff on duty
• Checks that staff members are in their correct locations
• Takes the lead in emergency situations
• Offers information to members as needed
• Informs program staff of problems arising in their areas
• Calls for subs for areas that are not staffed
• Follows appropriate safety guidelines.
• Proactively solves problems.
• Conducts tours of the facility for prospective members and guests.
• Guides new members to their desired activities and areas
• Remains knowledgeable of member information and programs.
• Performs light maintenance duties, if necessary.
• Communicates to direct supervisor any concerns or incidents that may need follow-up
• Is familiar with member information as outlined in the new member handbook.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year or more of related customer service experience required; two years or more of supervisory experience preferred.
• Computer skills are required as well as strong interpersonal skills.
• Good customer service skills with the ability to communicate with people at all levels.
