Job summary

Nebraska Furniture Mart is seeking an Overnight Building Maintenance Technician II at our Cedar Park facility to maintain building, grounds and equipment and support efficient operations.

The role requires night/weekend hours with a strong maintenance background and basic trade skills. This full-time position offers competitive pay and opportunities for growth within the NFM family.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year building maintenance, custodial, general or labor experience.
• Technical or trade school classes in related field.
• Basic carpentry skills and electrical knowledge preferred.
• Painting skills and plumbing knowledge preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work night, weekend and/or early morning hours based on business needs.
• Pre-employment screening includes, but isn’t limited to, a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Replace lights and ballasts in fluorescent fixtures while upgrading to higher efficiency retrofit.
• Lawn care – mowing, trimming, edging, racking – landscaping, snow removal, ice treatment.
• Painting, patching, and caulking building structures, rooms and equipment.
• Collaborate: effectively complete work orders and enter in job notes.
• Maintain mechanical rooms and equipment.

Job Duties: A Day in the Life
