Job summary

Health Care Alliance NA seeks an Overnight Supervisor to provide supervision and support to clients during the overnight shift at our Asheville, NC center. You will monitor safety, assist with intake, and guide clients through recovery activities in line with facility policies.

You will document observations in the electronic health record, collaborate with counselors and medical staff, and ensure a calm, confidential environment while upholding HCANA’s standards and HCANA policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must complete pre-employment checks including background check and drug screen.
• Behavioral health experience preferred (min 6 months).
• Familiarity with 12-step model and recovery literature preferred.
• Maintain accurate client documentation per treatment plans and policies.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to stay alert and responsive during overnight shifts.
• Ability to work independently and with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and support to clients during the overnight shift.
• Conduct overnight rounds to monitor safety and well-being.
• Offer guidance related to recovery models (12-step, Refuge Recovery, etc.).
• Encourage participation in treatment plans, therapy, and activities.
• Assist with intake, orientation, and transition needs as required.
• Maintain a safe, structured overnight environment and document in EHR.
• Observe and document client behaviors and progress for the treatment team.
• Promptly report safety or medical concerns to the clinical team.
• Maintain confidentiality and adherence to policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with counselors and medical staff to support comprehensive care.
• Participate in team meetings and trainings.
