Job summary

Cliffside Malibu is seeking a Behavioral Tech I to observe and report on client behavior while providing structured daily programming. The role supports clients’ needs, conducts scheduled transport, and ensures safety on-site in Malibu, CA.

You have High School or GED, some exposure to drug/alcohol dependency and mental health, and up to one year of prior work experience. The position is full-time with an overnight schedule.

Qualifications

• High School or GED preferred
• Some knowledge of drug/alcohol dependency and mental health issues
• Open communication with staff, clients and families
• Up to one year of prior work experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Facilitates clients’ daily needs per the program schedule.
• Conducts property searches of clients as required.
• Performs urine drug screening testing of clients as required.
• Provides transportation services including client transportation/supervision, errands, shopping, pick-ups etc.
• Observes and monitors clients’ behavior and interactions; documents in communication log.
• Maintains awareness of client schedules and personal time.
• Conducts regular house and grounds checks, keeping grounds and facility safe and clean.
• Ability to confront behavioral changes and recognize crises; seek additional help as needed.
• Fully follows policies on ethics, boundaries, and patient confidentiality.
• Assembles, breaks down and ensures quality of client charts; light filing and answering phones.
