Job summary

Cliffside Malibu is seeking a Behavioral Tech I to support clients daily under the program schedule. You will assist with daily needs, supervise transportation, and document client interactions while maintaining safety and adherence to policies.

The role requires basic knowledge of addiction and mental health issues, strong communication, and the ability to handle crises. Eligible candidates are on-site in Malibu, CA, with a full-time schedule and hourly pay of $21–$23.

Qualifications

• High School or GED Diploma preferred.
• Open communication with facility staff, clients and families.
• Some prior knowledge of drug/alcohol dependency and mental health issues.
• Up to one-year previous work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates clients’ daily needs per the program schedule.
• Conducts property searches of clients as required.
• Performs urine drug screening testing of clients as required.
• Provides transportation services including client transportation/supervision, errands, shopping, pick-ups etc.
• Observes and monitors clients’ behavior and interactions, documenting in communication log.
• Maintains awareness of client schedules and personal time.
• Conducts regular house and grounds checks, ensuring safety and cleanliness.
• Becomes familiar with the Policy and Procedures and follows emergency procedures.
