Job summary

Center for Discovery in Fairfax, VA is seeking a Behavioral Health Tech II to support patients through admission to discharge. You will assist with daily care, safety, and crisis interventions while contributing to treatment planning.

The role includes leading psychoeducational groups, supervising patients during meals and routines, and collaborating with nursing and clinical teams on shift. Overnight schedule 10pm–6am, full-time on-site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred and HS diploma or equivalent.
• One or more years experience in mental health, substance use or eating disorders preferred.
• Valid and unrestricted State Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to policies and procedures and represents values.
• Provides patient support, safety and crisis intervention as needed.
• Facilitates daily patient care, groups, and treatment planning input.
• Assists nursing with duties including vitals and supervision.
• Completes shift notes and documentation by end of shift.
• Overnight work from 10pm to 6am, on-site in Fairfax, VA.

Skills
