Job summary

Discovery Behavioral Health is seeking an LVN/LPN to provide compassionate nursing care in a behavioral health setting. The role involves supervising medications, monitoring patient status, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to support recovery.

The position requires a nursing license in good standing, CPR/First Aid certification, and readiness to obtain CPI within 90 days of hire. Work location is onsite in Glenview, IL, with an hourly rate of $27–$38 and a 7:00 pm–7:30 am

Qualifications

• Must graduate from an approved nursing program with current state licensure in good standing.
• Preferred: experience in behavioral health or chemical dependency settings.
• CPR and First Aid certification required; CPI certification to be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Eating Disorder and Mental Health Certification (Serv Safe) within 90 days if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in a behavioral health setting and maintain a safe, therapeutic environment.
• Support assessments, vital signs, and health monitoring to inform care plans.
• Administer prescribed medications, document MARs, and ensure medication safety and counts.
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, psychiatrists, and the care team to coordinate treatment.
• Maintain compliant clinical documentation and report changes in patient status.
