Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an approved nursing program with a current licensure in good standing.
• Preferred: Experience as a staff nurse in behavioral health/chemical dependency.
• Knowledge of medications, indications, dosage ranges, side effects, and toxicity.
• One year experience in mental health, substance use, or eating disorders.
• Current Basic Life Support (CPR/First Aid) certification.
• CPI certification within 90 days of hire.
• Serv Safe certification within 90 days of hire if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to a behavioral health population in a safe, therapeutic setting.
• Support patient assessments by collecting relevant data.
• Perform vital signs, basic assessments, and approved procedures.
• Observe and report changes in status and safety risks promptly.
• Administer medications as prescribed and document timely responses.
• Maintain MARs and complete medication counts and reconciliation.
