Job summary

Alternatives, Inc. in South Bound Brook, NJ is seeking a full-time Behavior Technician to support adults with developmental disabilities in residential settings.

You will assist with daily living activities, help residents with medications, meals, hygiene, and transport to appointments while supporting behavioral plans and skill-building. You will document progress, report concerns, and participate in paid trainings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Able to pass criminal/registry background checks and a drug screen.
• Clear tuberculosis (TB) screening.
• Able to pass trainings such as CPR/first aid, medication administration, and positive behavioral support training.
• Basic computer skills.
• Experience with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist adults with daily living activities in a residential setting.
• Administer medications and assist with meals and personal hygiene.
• Transport to medical appointments and support community outings.
• Implement individual behavioral plans and teach new skills.
• Report health and safety concerns and maintain accurate documentation.
