Job summary

Bednark Studio in Brooklyn, NY seeks experienced Art Handlers/Truck Drivers to transport and install premium fabrication and high-value items. This is an overhire, as-needed W-2 position with occasional overnight shifts and weekly outreach to check availability.

Qualifications

• Valid driver\'s license and clean driving record.
• Minimum 3 years\' experience driving box trucks up to 26\'.
• Experience handling fragile or valuable items preferred.
• Able to lift 50+ lbs and handle large objects safely.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and travel.
• Comfortable using a smartphone for updates.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate commercial vehicles in various conditions, following road laws.
• Prepare items for transportation with proper packaging and securing.
• Wrap, pack, and check items for transport readiness.
• Complete scheduled pickups and deliveries accurately and on time.
• Maintain clear communication with dispatch about status and issues.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns.
• Follow planned routes and adapt to site conditions.
• Collaborate with team during installations and logistics operations.
