Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Overnight Access Control in West Des Moines, IA. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, support access control, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents at a financial institution.

The role emphasizes customer service and clear communication within a welcoming, collaborative environment. Minimum requirements include 2 years in security, preference for badge experience and a guard card.

Qualifications

• At least two years of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, including entrances, customer areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor and employee activity in accordance with site policies, helping to maintain an orderly environment.
• Document patrols, incidents, and daily activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
