Job summary

SpecialtyRx in New Jersey is seeking an Overnight Licensed Pharmacist to join our long-term care pharmacy team on a 7on/7off schedule. You will evaluate medication orders, ensure proper dispensing, and communicate with facility staff to resolve medication-related questions.

The ideal candidate holds an active New Jersey Pharmacist license, has experience in long-term care, and can work independently with strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.

Qualifications

• Active NJ Pharmacist license required.
• Experience in long-term care is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate medication orders for drug appropriateness, dosage, interactions and administration.
• Ensure dispensed medicines are correctly supplied and labeled.

Overnight Licensed Pharmacist Responsibilities

• Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, potential interactions, and proper administration.
• Ensure that dispense medicines are correctly supplied and labeled.
• Communicate with facilities’ nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare team members in regard to medication-related query.
• Supervise the preparation of any medicines.

Overnight Licensed Pharmacist Requirements

• Active Pharmacist with NJ Board of Pharmacy a must.
• Previous experience in Long Term Care is preferred.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, accurately, and efficiently.
• Must be multi‑tasking and reliable.
• Computer literate, knowledge of Frameworks LTC system, PLUS.
