Job summary

West Bay RI is seeking Overnight Direct Support Professionals for awake and resting shifts to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities across Rhode Island locations. The Awake role requires vigilance and the Resting role involves supervising with private sleeping arrangements on-site.

Compensation includes hourly rates for Awake and Resting shifts, with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Remain awake, alert, and attentive throughout the shift.
• Provide personal care and support while ensuring individuals' health, safety, and well-being.
• Follow individualized care plans and report concerns to nursing staff or management.
• Administer medications and treatments according to policy and training.
• Complete assigned household tasks and accurately document overnight activities.
• Promote respectful, positive interactions with individuals, families, coworkers, and community partners.
• Attend required trainings and meetings and maintain reliable attendance and punctuality.

Summary

The Awake Overnight DSP is responsible for remaining alert and available throughout the shift while providing assistance as needed to ensure each individual's health, safety, and overall wellbeing

A Resting Overnight DSP provides care and supervision for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities during the night. While a private sleeping area is provided, the DSP remains on-site to assist with scheduled nighttime needs, personal care, and any developing needs

3rd Shift Awake: $23.50 per hour

• Providence: Sun/Mon/Tue & Every Other Sat 10pm-8am
• Johnston: Wed/Thurs/Fri & Every Other Sat 10pm-8am
• Warwick:Sun/Mon/Tue & Every Other Sat 10pm-8am

3rd Shift Resting: $19.00 per hour
