Job summary

The Planet Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead overhead transmission line projects from concept to completion in Fort Worth, TX. You will be responsible for profitability, schedules, and coordinating with owners, subcontractors, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders.

This role emphasizes client relationship development, repeat business generation, and support for new opportunities, with strong communication, scheduling, cost control, and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 7+ years of applicable project management experience.
• Experience on construction project sites or managing programs in energy, manufacturing, oil and gas, etc.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Ability to work overtime in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to collaborate with owners, contractors, engineers, designers, and stakeholders.
• Experience with document control, scheduling, cost control, and project management.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall management of projects from concept through completion.
• Develop and monitor project schedules, manage scope and costs.
• Develop and implement project policies, control systems, and PM plans.
• Direct and coordinate multiple disciplines on projects of moderate scope.
• Coordinate with teams to ensure deliverables meet client expectations and QA standards.
• Manage project financials including forecasts, accruals, staffing, risk and change management.
• Manage communications and stakeholder coordination.
• Serve as primary client contact for strategic planning, budgets, and scheduling.
• Prepare proposals and participate in contract negotiations.
• Develop client relationships and identify repeat business opportunities.
• Provide regular progress reports on cost, schedule, procurement, safety, and design questions.
• Travel to client/project locations as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
