Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking an Overhead Transmission Apprentice Lineperson in Maryland. The role involves assisting with installing, maintaining, and repairing high-voltage transmission lines under supervision, with a willingness to travel.

Responsibilities include pole erection/ replacement, safe operation of aerial trucks and digger derricks, and assisting in transmission/substation construction from 69 kV to 500 kV. Pre-employment screenings apply.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Able to climb wood poles, steel poles, and lattice steel towers.
• Able to work at heights up to and above 100 feet.
• Able to drive all vehicles assigned to the line crew.
• Experience with digger derricks and bucket trucks is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation, connection, and rigging in a high-voltage environment.
• Erect, frame, and replace poles.
• Operate aerial trucks, digger derricks, and related equipment safely.
• Assist in construction of transmission and substation facilities.
• Work on various structure types of transmission lines from 69 kV to 500 kV.
• Establish OSHA and company safety requirements.
