Job summary

A leading electrical services provider is seeking an entry-level Class C Lineman in Louisburg, North Carolina. This position involves construction, maintenance, and repair work on overhead electrical distribution systems. Applicants should be able to perform physical labor, travel on short notice, and work outside in various weather conditions. A Commercial Driver’s License is preferred, and the position may require overtime, including weekends and holidays. Ideal candidates must be safety-conscious and maintain equipment properly.

Responsibilities

• Work safely on new construction and maintenance of electrical systems.
• String overhead wire and set poles.
• Assist in installing transformers and other electrical components.
• Maintain equipment and vehicles in good working order.

Skills

1-2 years of minimum experience

Ability to perform rigorous physical labor

Ability to identify primary and secondary voltage

Familiarity with induced voltage

Capable of setting a pole

Climbing various structures

Understanding grounding procedures

Ability to travel long distances

Able to lift in excess of 50 lbs

Willingness to work outside in various weather
