Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking an Overhead Distribution Groundperson in Arkansas to support installation, maintenance, and repair of energized and de-energized overhead lines.

This role involves ground-based material handling, tool inspection, safety compliance, and coordination with line personnel. Candidates must be 18+, willing to overtime, and able to travel for storm work if needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to operate and service all required tools and equipment.
• Must be able to work long hours and overtime during holidays, emergencies, weekends, etc.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintenance or repair work of energized and de-energized overhead line work from the ground.
• Assembles material on the ground to be installed by the lineperson or apprentice.
• Ability to problem solve with unidentified circumstances on any job.
• Ensure daily testing and inspection of assigned tools and equipment.
• Maintain company equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Excavates to assist in the installation of structures or cable as required by contract specification.
• Will communicate work to property owners professionally.
• Participates in company safety training and follows regional safety policies.
• Operates tools including digging devices, wrenches, hammers, come-alongs, jack hammer.
• All other duties as required by Supervisors.
• Reports all potential hazards to Foreperson
