Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC in Henderson, NC is seeking an Overhead Distribution Apprentice Lineperson to assist with construction and maintenance of overhead distribution lines and equipment.

The role involves climbing poles, excavating, working near energized equipment, following regional safety policies, and communicating with property owners. A 1+ year trade background is required, with travel for storm work possible.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of trade experience or formal training.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Willing to travel out of state for emergency storm work.

Responsibilities

• Clear work area and maintain safe jobsite conditions.
• Assist with assembling material and work from the ground to be installed by lineperson.
• Climb wooden poles to help perform duties.
• Excavate to assist in installation of structures or cable as required by contract specification.
• Communicate work to be performed to property owners.
• Participate in regional safety training and follow safety policies.
• Operate tools such as digging devices, wrenches, hammers, drills, come-alongs, jackhammer, and hand tools.
• Work around energized parts or equipment with proper protection.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisors.
