Job summary

MasTec Utility Services in the United States seeks an OHE Foreman to lead the overhead line crew in placing electrical cables, ensure crew safety, track hours, and coordinate with multiple departments. You will obtain materials and permits, supervise project quality and schedule, conduct daily safety briefings, perform aerial tasks and pole work, and train new hires.

This role requires a high school diploma, CDL, 6 years of experience with 2 in supervision, and OSHA 20 preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 years of construction experience.
• 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Class A CDL is required.

Responsibilities

• Obtain all necessary materials and ensure permits and licenses are in place.
• Oversee project work and take full responsibility for quality and timeliness.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and MasTec/customer requirements.
• Facilitate daily toolbox talks and weekly safety inspections.
• Perform aerial tasks like cable installs, pole transfers, strand building, and cable hanging as needed.
• Place overhead electrical cables and connect wires to terminals.
• Coordinate daily tasks for crew members related to digging and placing product.
• Perform construction work in conduit systems and open excavations; climb poles or use aerial lift if needed.
• Drive, haul, and operate equipment to support crews.
• Train new hires and trainees to learn the trade.
