Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Overhead Door Technician to install, repair, and service overhead doors on commercial and construction sites nationwide. The role covers junior to lead/foreman levels, with overtime opportunities and a clear pay progression based on experience and certifications.

Expect hands-on work including welding, fabrication, and glass installation, with room to grow into lead roles and develop additional skills across installation and troubleshooting tasks.

Qualifications

• Construction site experience focused on door hanging, fabrication, or mechanical installation.
• Hands-on knowledge of glass installation, welding, and hand/power tool use.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics and apply mechanical knowledge to overhead door systems.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair overhead doors and related hardware using hand and power tools.
• Perform glass installation for door panels or windows as needed.
• Conduct welding and fabrication to modify or reinforce door components to spec.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately assemble and install systems.
• Apply construction skills—metal stud framing, carpentry, and locksmithing—to support installation projects.
• Apply caulking, sealants, and weatherproofing for insulation and durability.
• Perform electrical work related to fixture installation or door system components as required.
• Maintain detailed records of work performed, including installation logs and schematic diagrams.
