Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Overhead Door Technician to install, repair, and troubleshoot overhead doors and related hardware across sites nationwide. You will read blueprints, perform welding and fabrication, and handle electrical work as needed, with a focus on safety and quality.

The role offers growth from junior to lead/foreman, comprehensive training, and clear pay progression. Overtime is paid at 1.5x after 40 hours, with potential for higher pay in Northeast markets.

Qualifications

• Experience on construction sites with door hanging, fabrication, or mechanical installation.
• Hands-on knowledge of glass installation, welding, and hand/power tool use.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics for overhead door systems.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair overhead doors and related hardware.
• Perform glass installation for door panels or windows as needed.
• Conduct welding and fabrication to modify components to spec.
• Read blueprints and schematics to assemble and install systems.
• Apply construction skills to support installation projects.
• Apply caulking, sealants, and weatherproofing for insulation.
• Perform electrical work related to fixture installation as required.
• Maintain detailed records of work performed and installation logs.
