Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in industry.
• Proficient in oral and written communication.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
• Ability to conduct daily and monthly equipment inspections.

Responsibilities

• Operate a remote-controlled overhead crane.
• Move steel plates, shipments, and work orders to appropriate area in the shop by using hoisting attachments, such as hook, sling, and electromagnet.
• Observe load hookup and determine safety of load.
• Manipulate crane controls to regulate speed and direction of crane and hoist movement.
• Clean and maintain crane and hoisting mechanism.
• Inspects crane for defects and notifies supervisor of defects.
• Communicate with Burn Table operators, Final Inspection Technicians, and other departments to ensure orders flow through productions.
• Ensure all parts are pulled from table before moving to Final Inspection Area to eliminate reburn.
