Job summary

Carpenter Technology’s Latrobe Specialty Metals operations in Latrobe, PA, are seeking a Crane Operator to operate an electric overhead traveling crane and move materials across processing areas. The role requires rotating shifts, overtime, and a commitment to safe practices in a heavy-industry setting.

Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED and pass a basic skills assessment. Prior manufacturing experience is a plus, but not required as training is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work steady or rotating shifts.
• Overtime required, including weekends.
• Experience in industrial/manufacturing environment preferred but not required.
• Selected applicants will be required to pass a basic skills assessment.

Responsibilities

• Operate electric overhead traveling crane.
• Transport materials to and from processing units, storage areas, and transfer buggies.
• Keep production records as required.
• Maintain personal commitment to safety and encourage others to work safely.
