Job summary

Klöckner & Co SE is seeking a Warehouse Operator to safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts and ensure shipments meet customer specifications. You will read measuring devices, verify paperwork, and assist loading and unloading to maintain accurate stock levels.

Responsibilities include shipping/receiving, proper chaining and tarping of trailers, adherence to DOT weight regulations, and following all safety procedures. A dependable, trainable team member is ideal for this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience operating overhead cranes.
• Valid certification to operate overhead cranes.
• High School diploma or GED or related experience/training.
• Understanding of DOT regulations regarding load weight.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and procedures.
• Reliable with a strong work ethic.
• Willingness to learn and train others.
• Ability to pass a physical examination for vision, hearing, and mobility.
• Demonstrated reliable work history.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on precision and quality.

Job Responsibilities

• Crane and Forklift Operation: Safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts
• Product Knowledge: Understand the products handled, including color coding and customer specifications; read and interpret all measuring devices
• Shipping and Receiving: Unload and receive inbound stock shipments and load outbound shipments, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed
• Loading Procedures: Safely load trucks, including proper chaining and tarping of trailers
• Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned to support warehouse operations

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience operating overhead cranes in an industrial or distribution environment
• Certification: Valid certification to operate overhead cranes is required
• Education: High School diploma or GED; or 1-3 months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Regulations Knowledge: Understanding of DOT regulations regarding load weight
• Safety and Procedures: Ability to follow safety protocols and operational procedures
• Dependability: Reliable with a strong work ethic
• Learning and Training: Willingness to learn new skills and train others
• Physical Examination: Ability to pass a physical examination for vision, hearing, and mobility
