Job summary

Steel and Pipe Supply is seeking an Overhead Crane Operator to load and unload coiled steel, place it in the correct location, and assist with inventory control while keeping safety at the forefront.

The role is 2nd shift, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with exposure to the elements and dirty working conditions. It requires walking/standing up to 8 hours and lifting up to 51 lbs.

Qualifications

• Must be able to operate overhead crane equipment safely and efficiently.
• Basic math and reading comprehension to follow instructions.
• Able to use simple hand tools and basic computer skills as needed.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload material from trucks using an overhead crane.
• Place materials in the designated locations and assist with inventory control.
• Ensure all material is accounted for and stored properly.
• Follow all safety policies and safe work practices.
