Job summary

Steel and Pipe Supply is hiring an Overhead Crane Operator for the 3rd shift in Catoosa, OK. You will load/unload coil material with overhead cranes, store it properly, and help maintain a safe work environment.

Expect a 3rd shift from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a starting pay of $22/hour (base 19.50 + 2.50 differential) plus bonuses and benefits as outlined by the company.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and able to read instructions.
• Basic math and literacy skills required for reading and calculations.
• Valid driver's license required for site access.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload material (coiled steel) from trucks using overhead cranes.

Description

What is an Overhead Crane Operator?

Overhead Crane Operators load and unload material (coiled steel) from trucks or other equipment and store it using overhead cranes. By making sure every piece of steel is accounted for and in the right place, this position ensures that our customers get the right materials at the right time. This position helps the company create a culture of safety by following all safety policies and safe work practices.

What can you expect from the job?

• 3rd shift – 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM., Monday-Friday
• Exposure to the elements
• Dirty working conditions
• Moderately stressful and constantly changing work environment
• Lots of walking and standing – up to 8 hours a day
• Frequent lifting, pushing, or pulling of material up to 51lbs.

What are the requirements?

• Valid driver’s license
• 18+ years old
