Job summary

Konecranes is seeking an Industrial Technician to service overhead cranes nationwide in the United States. You will diagnose electrical and mechanical issues, perform preventive maintenance, and collaborate with customers and site managers to meet service needs.

The role requires a safety-first mindset, ability to climb and work at heights, and willingness to travel. A high school diploma and relevant technical training are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; associate degree preferred.
• Minimum one year experience with electrical troubleshooting and mechanical repair.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Willing to travel and work off the ground; safety-conscious.
• Familiarity with crane systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair electric overhead traveling cranes and hoists at customer locations.
• Provide on-call service as part of a rotation, including after-hours support.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, structural, and electronic issues on-site.
• Perform post-repair audits to ensure safety features are functional.
• Document findings and recommend corrective actions, including safety notifications to customers.
• Consult with customers on repair and safety issues, offering recommendations for material handling improvement.
• Produce electronic documentation using company tools, obtaining customer signatures.
• Stay updated on industry codes and regulations (OSHA, ANSI, CMAA, HMI).
• Complete service reports and other required documents accurately and promptly.
• Communicate with the Field Operations Manager and Service Coordinator following established practices
