Job summary

Modern Railway Systems is seeking an Overhead Cantenary Systems Engineer (OCS) to join our Austin team. You will lead design and engineering efforts for AC and DC OCS, develop shop drawings, perform structural calculations, and support field commissioning for light rail, streetcar, and high-speed rail projects.

Qualified candidates have a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and at least 5 years of experience, with proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, and structural analysis software.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, and structural analysis software.
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License and ability to travel for project needs.

Responsibilities

  • Design and lead detailed engineering shop drawings for AC and DC OCS systems.
  • Develop operations and maintenance manuals and training materials.
  • Provide site engineering support, troubleshoot installation issues, and perform testing/commissioning.
