Job summary

Vital Strategies in New York City is seeking a Senior Program Manager for the Overdose Prevention Program to lead subgrant management, provide technical assistance, and guide portfolio partners through the full lifecycle of subgrant agreements.

The role is full-time with a hybrid schedule in the NYC area and may require domestic travel. You will work with internal teams and external stakeholders to strengthen program impact, monitor milestones, and ensure compliance and capacity building.

Qualifications

• Minimum six years of experience managing programs with small Native community-based implementation partners; experience with overdose prevention or harm reduction required.
• Minimum three years’ experience in subaward or subgrant management, including agreement development, compliance monitoring, and partner reporting.
• Minimum three years’ experience in project management with consistent adherence to timelines and deliverables.
• Demonstrated experience liaising with multiple internal and external stakeholders across operational and programmatic functions.
• Preferred - Direct experience working in an operational role at a nonprofit organization.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for subgrantees in assigned portfolio and manage subgrant lifecycle.
• Provide technical assistance and monitor milestones and accomplishments.
• Collaborate with Grants & Contracts unit on compliance and oversight.
• Participate in an internal Community of Practice and may attend conferences with external stakeholders.
