Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in public health, public policy, nursing, social work, or related field required.
• Advanced degree (MPH, MSW, MHA, JD, MD, or equivalent) preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of directly relevant professional experience in harm reduction, overdose prevention, or public health.
• Minimum 3–5 years in a senior government staff position working for an elected or senior agency official.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional planning to develop and monitor state strategies, work plans, and budgets.
• Oversee budget management and monitor budget vs. actuals across the portfolio.
• Engage state and local partners, policymakers, and agencies to advance program priorities.
• Provide technical assistance, capacity building, and guidance to external partners.
• Supervise and mentor diverse teams; promote learning and accountability.
