Job summary

The Arkansas Department of Transportation seeks a Truck Driver to operate tractor/trailer equipment, move supplies and heavy equipment along state highways. This full-time position requires valid Class A CDL with tanker endorsement and the ability to perform load securement and routine maintenance.

Travelling statewide and overnights are expected; pre-employment drug screening applies. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and experience operating tractor-trailer equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Class A CDL with tanker endorsement.
• Experience operating tractor/trailer equipment.
• Able to climb, stand, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Pre-employment drug/alcohol testing required.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor/trailer to move supplies and heavy equipment.

• Perform preventive maintenance on assigned vehicle.
• Work as part of a crew and perform related duties as needed.
