Job summary

Southern Tire Mart is hiring a Class A Truck Driver to operate company trucks, delivering and picking up tires and related products at on-site locations. You will load and secure cargo, document deliveries, and complete pre/post-trip inspections with a strong focus on safety.

The role requires at least 21 years old, a valid CDL A/B with a clean record, and DOT-related medical and drug screening. Flexible hours and growth opportunities are available with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid Class A or B CDL with a clean driving record.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and DOT medical examination.
• Ability to lift/move tires weighing up to 100 lbs.
• Strong attention to safety and detail.
• Delivery or warehouse experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company trucks to deliver and pick up commercial tires and related products.
• Load and unload tires, wheels, and related equipment using proper safety techniques.
• Ensure accurate delivery documentation, including invoices, delivery tickets, and customer signatures.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections, reporting any vehicle maintenance or safety issues.
• Adhere to all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies.
• Provide excellent customer service at delivery and pick-up locations.
• Assist with warehouse operations as needed, including inventory counts and organizing stock.
