Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced accounting professional to lead engagements for small to medium-sized businesses in Sarasota, FL. You will oversee financial modeling, RFP creation, and contract negotiations while coordinating engagement phases and ensuring high-quality client deliverables.

The role requires strong knowledge of accounting principles, proficiency in accounting software, and excellent communication and organizational skills. CPA preferred for advancement within the firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in accounting or related field.
• 5 years progressive experience in public accounting.
• Proficiency with various accounting software, spreadsheets, and word processing.
• Current knowledge of accounting principles.
• CPA preferred.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting services engagements for small to medium-sized businesses.
• Assist in development of initial assessments, project plans, vendor selections.
• Perform financial modeling, RFP creation, contract negotiations and post-selection administrative actions.
• Support Manager in planning and development of project deliverables.
• Coordinate and oversee various phases of engagement.
• Complete detail review of work papers and client deliverables.
• Interact directly with senior client and service provider executives.
• Study and evaluate clients' internal controls.
• Resolve accounting problems as they arise.
