Responsibilities

• Manage a remote accounting team, including scope of work, job budgets, and profitability.
• Provide general advisory services to clients via scheduled remote meetings regarding financial statements.
• Serve as the primary contact for real estate investment client engagements.
• Partner with clients from private equity, joint ventures, and other investors, focusing on the real estate industry.
• Research and share knowledge of best practices relevant to each client's business concerns.
• Calculate investor returns, budget/forecast asset performance, and prepare financial data for loan covenants.
• Advise on cash flow, debt structure, and leverage.
• Leverage data analytics and new technology, including various accounting software.
• Provide technical accounting assistance to clients and internal teams.
• Advise clients on process improvements in their accounting departments and internal controls.
• Meet with investors to review management reports and KPIs.
• Prepare financial data for loan covenants as applicable.
• Mentor and train direct reports to support their growth.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
• 8+ years of advanced, hands-on full cycle accounting experience, including financial statement preparation within the Real Estate industry.
• Previous public accounting experience preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience.
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technology and accounting software.
• Experience with Netsuite, Yardi, Appfolio, QuickBooks Online, and Sage Intacct preferred but not required.
• Proven ability to build and manage relationships.
• Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) preferred but not required.
• Ability to adapt and learn quickly.

Our compensation package includes a base salary range of $103,000 to $154,000, with potential for future increases. Actual offers depend on various factors, including location, skills, experience, and current pay.

Eligible employees may receive an annual discretionary bonus based on performance.
