Job summary

Goldman Sachs MAS in New York is seeking a seasoned Portfolio Manager to join the MAS team focused on the Outsourced CIO channel. You will be responsible for daily management of US pensions and insurance portfolios in line with MAS investment philosophy, client guidelines and regulatory constraints.

This role emphasizes analytical, risk-aware decision making across asset classes and investment strategies, collaborating with internal teams to execute dynamic asset allocation views and reporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Advanced degree or CFA designation preferred.
• 1.5-4 years of investment management experience.
• Ability to communicate investment strategies to diverse audiences.
• Experience trading and managing risk for pension or insurance portfolios.
• Team-oriented, detail-focused and capable of project management.
• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; Bloomberg/Reuters knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Managing multi-asset class portfolios in line with client guidelines and policies.
• Lead investment and risk projects to scale trading and analytics.
• Trading across asset classes and instruments.
• Managing portfolio risk, exposure, currency and cash management.
• Collaborating with GSAM teams to execute dynamic asset allocation views.
• Structuring trades to manage hedging and flow considerations.
• Managing derivative overlays to enhance risk management.
• Analyzing portfolio risk and attribution, reporting to Senior PMs weekly.
• Producing updates and market commentary for divisional audiences.
