Goldman Sachs is seeking a NY-based Portfolio Manager within MAS to manage outsourced CIO projects and oversee US pensions and insurance portfolios in line with MAS philosophy and client guidelines.

The role emphasizes rigorous analysis of strategic and dynamic exposures across asset classes, with collaboration across GSAM teams and external managers. Strong communication and modeling skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Advanced degree or CFA designation preferred
• 1.5-4 years of investment management experience, with successful track record of teamwork and employing qualities and functional abilities referenced above
• Ability to communicate investment strategies and rationales to audiences of varying levels of sophistication
• Experience in trading and managing risk for pension or insurance portfolios
• Positive attitude and eagerness to work in a team-centric environment
• High degree of investment awareness, including macroeconomic trends and implications for investing in a multi-asset class framework
• Excellent writing and communicationskills
• Excellent project managementskills
• Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• A self-starter able to work independently and thrive in a teamenvironment
• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; Bloomberg, Reuters or financial data systems knowledgepreferred

Responsibilities

• Managing multi-asset class portfolios in line with client guidelines and policies
• Lead investment and risk projects to enhance trading processes and analytics
• Trading across asset classes and instruments
• Managing portfolio risk across investment vehicles and product desks
• Collaborating with internal GSAM teams to execute dynamic asset allocation views
• Structuring trades across asset classes to align with hedging and flow
• Managing derivative-based overlay strategies to improve risk profile
• Analyzing portfolio risk and performance attribution for weekly updates
• Producing investment updates and market commentary for divisional audiences
• Assisting in onboarding new client mandates and portfolio restructurings
