Job summary

Atlantic National Golf Club is seeking a Golf Operations Outside Service team member to greet guests, assist with bag handling, direct guests to club policies and support daily operations.

You’ll help maintain the golf car fleet, manage range ball recovery, keep areas tidy, follow safety rules and coordinate with staff to ensure a smooth experience for players.

Responsibilities

• Maintain order and continuity of player traffic.
• Assist with range ball recovery and keep baskets organized and clean.
• Keep working areas attractive, neat and trash-free; wash range balls.
• Assist guests with rules, safety, attire, and range use.
• Support golf shop, starter and ranger for smooth transitions to the course.
• This position will perform other duties as required.

Job description

Overview

The Golf Operations Outside Service personnel work closely with the Assistant Golf Professional to assure an optimal experience for customers around the facility. The primary responsibility is providing consistent, quality service to the customers of Atlantic National Golf Club. Candidates will be trained to become proficient in the tasks of: providing friendly customer service, bag handling, informing/directing guests of club policies, assisting with golf car fleet maintenance with proper staging & storing, maintaining overall facility and maintaining healthy relationships with fellow co-workers. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE AND ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

• Meet and greet all customers in a warm, friendly and professional manner in accordance with all facility policies and procedures.
• Handle all minor problems/complaints from customers.
• Refer all major problems/complaints to a manager and/or assistant manager.
• Follow procedures in management of the golf car fleet.
  • Report any accidents/damaged equipment immediately.
    • Document and fill out necessary forms for damaged equipment
  • Maintain order and continuity of player traffic.
  • Responsible for daily operations of range ball recovery utilizing both mechanical and hand machinery and equipment.
  • Responsible for the collection of, organization of, and cleanliness of all range baskets used for ball transportation according to policies and procedures established by management.
  • Responsible for keeping all working areas attractive, neat and clean. Free of all trash and waste.
  • Responsible for washing of the range balls to maintain their cleanliness and usability.
  • Responsible for following the procedures for proper opening and closing of the cart and range operations.
  • Responsible for tracking and reporting the need of supplies necessary for day-to-day operations of the given areas.
  • Responsible for maintaining contact with the golf shop/starter/ and ranger to assure efficient transition for golfers to the course.
  • Keep outside area neat and clean. Do not allow cars to clog passage area, arrange them neatly after having been used.
  • Will assist all guests in rules and regulations for safety precautions and to prevent inconvenience to other guests.
    • Proper golf attire, personal coolers, hitting personal golf balls on the driving range, etc.
    • • Inspect the condition of golf cars with specific attention to their cleanliness and appearance.
      • Responsible for cart cleanliness, cart supplies, cart condition, charging and staging. As well as rotation of golf carts to ensure uniform usage among the fleet.
      • Kindly spread hospitality and goodwill among all guests, and make all guests feel welcome. Including assisting in keeping water station stocked of cups, lids and straws.

    This position will perform other duties as required.
